What is Aramid and why use it in rucksacks?

Are the Numinous shield combination locks resettable?

Yes, all the combination locks used on Numinous products can be set to a user defined number. Instructional videos on how to change the combination on your locks can be found on the home page

What is the TSA?

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that exercises authority over the security of the traveling public in and out of the United States.

And so what is TSA approved?

The TSA screens every passenger's baggage before it is placed on an airplane. While their technology allows them to electronically screen bags, there are times when they need to physically inspect a piece of luggage. If your luggage or packs are TSA approved it means it can be opened by security officers using universal "master" keys so that the locks will not have to be cut or your luggage and belongings damaged.

Wire Lock Instructions & Reset

Our retractable lock system allows you to attach your Numinous to bunk beds in dorm rooms or other fixed objects, giving you peace of mind when you're separated from your Numinous.

To reset the wire lock on your Numinous, please follow these instructions:

1. Locate the retractable combination lock on the side of your pack.
2. Push in the silver tip until it clicks
3. Change the dials to the desired combination
4. Pull tip back out to its original position.

Using the wire locks

1. Locate the large raised button on the lock (hidden beneath the material on top of the lock)
2. Push in button and pull out wire to desired length, ensuring it goes around a fixed object, and release button to hold wire in place.
3. Push silver tip into the empty port on the opposite side of the lock of your Numinous until it clicks, and mix the numbers to lock.

TSA12083 Instructions

The original combination is 0-0-0. To set your personal combination, please follow these steps:

1. Put the dial at its original combination of 0-0-0
2. Press down the reset button [a] with a tool until you hear it click
3. Set the dials [b] to your desired combination
4. Push the button [c] in the direction of the arrow below and the reset button [a] will click back to its original position.

You have now set the lock to your personal combination. To change this, repeat the above steps, but use your old combination in place of 0-0-0 in the first step.
